My Day

October 30, 2008 at 3:45 am (Uncategorized)

Today was interesting.  Sean told me that Jade wanted to call the radio station the other day to have a song dedicated to me.  Seans mom asked why and he informed her that he was afraid of me before I had the baby and now he likes me.  Whatever, One of my FRUSTERATIONS:  I have to put up with a lot coming from Jade.  I get so upset because I get treated like a babysitter from EVERYONE, but sean.  Last year with Sean being gone, I was dealing with my pregnancy, working and taking care of Jade FULL time.  Did I ever complain, Nope.  Why, because when I married Sean, I also took on Jade.  So, he is 7 and he hates me. FINE.  What can I do? He intentionaly ignores me, he questions EVERYTHING I say and agrues all the time.  So I have Sean take care of all his needs and I am am still evil.  Sean is going back to Yakima and for a short time, we will still be on the side of the Mountains and Jade will not be a happy camper if his attitude doesn’t change.

Other then  all of that, I gave the baby another bath and he loved it.  It was so much fun.  He is sleeping and I am hoping that we have another great night like we did last night.  I won’t hold my breath..LOL

Cult Classic or 80’s Classic?

October 30, 2008 at 2:51 am (Uncategorized)

Sean is big on watching movies that I have NEVER heard of and he swears that they are cult classics.  I don’t really get what defines the two, except for when I suggest a movie, it gets tossed in the 80’s classic.

Some movies he swears is are cult classics are:

Rocky Mountain Horror Picture Show, Big Trouble in Little China, Red Dawn,  Army of Darkness, Evil dead.

I said, Adventures in Babysitting, Dirty Dancing, Fast times at Ridgemount High, Breakfest Club, Farris Bewlers Day off from School and of course Princess Bride.

Some that made the classic 80’s movie list were: Indiana Jones, E.T. Revenge of the Nerds, Back to the Future, Labrynth, Kirate Kid.

Peter, I can’t remember what the Madonna movie was called.  I liked that movie.  Anyone have any other titles they think we left off?  I really don’t remember a lot of the movies, so I would love to hear what you think.

How do I handle

October 29, 2008 at 12:36 am (Uncategorized)

All the frustration in my life?  Sometimes I feel like my life is completely out of control and I don’t know how to get a handle on things.  It might be that I am so tired that thinking about dealing isn’t on my list.  But here is a little of my frusterations as of right now:

1. Jade being behind in school and not wanting to work hard to get caught up.

2. BILLS and the fact we are broke

3. Sean not being able to start work for another few weeks

4. The baby being on a funny schedule

5. My room needs to be clean. REALLY BAD.

6. My recovery isn’t going very well.

7. Jade constant need for validation.

8. VIDEO GAMES!!!

9. Sean has quit smoking and has a VERY VERY short fuse.

10. Afraid to talk about all the stuff that truely bothers/worries me without being looked down upon or ridiculed.

I am pretty sure that #10 is the source of all my frusterations.  I wish that I could sit down and just talk about all my frusterations without all the repercusions that I think I would receive.  I would never write all the stuff on the blog since anyone would be able to read it.  So, I will keep it inside and maybe one day I will just explode.  On that day, I will post a blog that says I FINALY exploded.

I just need to start looking for solutions and stop feeling sorry for the situations that drive me crazy.  That will be my goal for next week.  (lol…I am putting it off…maybe I will get to it…..NO, I need to get to it..)

Vincents First Bath

October 28, 2008 at 2:59 am (Uncategorized)

We finaly were able to give the baby his first bath yesterday.  I was definitly looking forward to it because he had all the sticky white stuff in his little cracks.  He definitly did not enjoy that bath and showed his discontent by peeing on me.  Luckly I was ready for it…  The bath was short lived.  Hopefully from here on out he will enjoy bathtime a little more.

We are home

October 26, 2008 at 2:43 am (family time)

After a long day away.  The boys cut up and cooked their trout and I made Chicken parm. While we were cooking the missionaries stopped by.  They asked if it would be ok to give Jade the child version of the lessons, but I said no.  Sean and I are not ready to get into it with Stephanie.  He will be starting Cub Scouts the beginning of Dec and I am hoping that will open the door for him to ask questions about our church.  Sean said it was ok for him to do the LDS scouts program instread of through the city.  We were talking about the baby’s blessing and Jade asked if he was blessed or baptised and he wasn’t.  So, maybe with time and me setting a good example, we will be able to change that.

While we were at the pumpkin farm, Seans mom asked if I would go to Hawaii with them at the end of Dec, so Jade could fly home with me.  His parents are going for 14 days and Stephanie said that Jade can go for 5 days.  We said that he could not miss any school, so he was going to fly home Sunday before school started, but the family he was going to fly home with canceled and isn’t going.  So, I guess I will be going.  I am excited because I haven’t ever been, but I will miss my anniversary.  Sean will be going to a school in Jan, so he can’t go.

I was changing Vince’s diaper today and I opened the little fold on his legs and he had all the stinky white stuff still hiding.  It was so gross. It smelt like stinky bellybutton.  I did an investigation on his little body and found it hiding in the deep cracks of his arm pits.  GROSS!!!  I can’t wait for his penni to heal so he can take a real bath.

His little pumpkin outfit the Natalya gave him. He is so cute!

Pumpkin Farm

October 26, 2008 at 2:26 am (Uncategorized)

Every year Seans dad takes Jade to the Pumpkin farm, so this year we all went.  It was so much fun.  They had a HUGE corn maze, tons of activites for the kids and tons of food.

We started off by taking the tracker ride around the farm to see the “Washington State shaped Corn Maze” and then hoped off and got to pickin’ our pumpkins.  I think we hit the farm a little late in the season due to all the green and smashed pumpkins, but Jade had a BLAST kickin and smashing all the old dead pumpkins.  We found a few that served the needs and headed out.  VIncent was hungery, so we got to go to the car.  No work for us.

We all went back inside and let Jade play for a while.  It was such a nice day that it was great to be outside.  Jade caught a trout in the “stream” and brought it home to eat, Went though a hunted barn maze a few times and jumped through hay piles.  It was so nice to spend time as a family and get out of the house.

Seans Working situation

October 25, 2008 at 8:37 am (Uncategorized)

Sean finally got switched to the 205th and we were hoping that he would go on orders starting Nov.1.  Well, I came home yesterday and he was on the phone with the SFC that is out at the school house (where he would be working) and Murphy told him that the earlist he could bring Sean out would be Dec 1.  But he really doesn’t need him out there until Feb.

Which SUCKS for us becuase if he is home, then we are getting NOTHING.  I guess while I was napping with the baby, Murphy called back and said that he may be able to send him to some schools in Nov just to get him working, and then in Jan is sending him to a school in Tennesse for two weeks and will try to bring him on orders for Dec.

This whole thing is so frusterating because he was been trying to get all of this done since Aug when his unit deployed.  But his old unit has been dragging there feet.  He was told today by his old unit that he needs to write a letter about why he can’t deploy, but can move to Yakima.

Well here is the difference.  Once we have the money, about two -three pay periods after he leaves we will be able to afford for us to relocate to him.  Opposed to him being completely gone for a year.  I don’t understand, if his old unit didn’t want to lose him, then why didn’t they give him a job oppertunity?  That would of made things easier.

I am just the wife,  I am here to support him and not always give an opinion.  As frusterating as it gets sometimes.

I am so frusterated

October 25, 2008 at 3:02 am (Uncategorized)

I want to customize my blog page and I can’t figure out just how to do it.  I know it has to be written in a certain code, but can’t I go to a website SOMEWHERE and have them write one for me?  I just give them all the stuff I want and then a code pops out?  Myspace is so easy, why can’t this site?  I am almost wanting to change to a more user friendly site.  I will give it a couple more days and see if I can figure it out.  Ugh.. I just want a cute page.

Inaddition to that, I had to goggle what a “widget” was because I had no clue.  I need to be a little more savvy with all of this.

Running around

October 22, 2008 at 5:40 am (Uncategorized)

Shauna called this morning and asked if I wanted to met her and her daughter for lunch, so we got out of bed (it was 11:30) and got ready.  Went and had lunch with them and while we were out I changed his diaper and his umbelicus was gone.  My baby isn’t a newborn anymore….

We were running a little late, so we had to go directly to Jades school.  Jade on Friday made some comments to his teacher that he had an upset stomach and he was upset that he was going to see his mom that weekend.  Sean pulled Mrs. Wilke aside and addressed some concerns and wanted to know what they should do from here. I on the other hand, was entertained by Mom’s and teachers commenting on Vincent.  You know it is amazing how much conversations change when you have a baby.  Jades teacher from last year had no problem talking about her expiriences.  It is great.

Sean and Mrs Wikie decided that Jade will talk to the school therapist everyother weekish if he is sad or just needs to talk.  Jade is having a really hard time adjusting to his new position on both sides of the families.  I over heard him talking to Sean today that he wished he and Vincent were twins.  Sean explained that they would need to be born at the same time, so that would mean he would be a baby.  From our understanding, he really didn’t spend a whole lot of time with his mom this last weekend and when they were together, it wasn’t quality time together.

Stephanie has Jade Halloween weekend, but Sean has Jade every year for Halloween and since this year it falls on a friday, Sean told Stephanie that she could take Jade.  This kinda made me sad since the last three years we have gone, but Sean really doesn’t want to spend time with her.

My baby is no longer a newborn, He lost his little umblicus.

The Restoration

October 22, 2008 at 4:10 am (Uncategorized)

The Missionaries came over tonight and shared the message on Restoration.  I really enjoyed the time with them and listening to there message.  They talked to Sean and asked him a few questions and he asked a few.  They gave him a Book a Morman and then asked if he would be willing to pray about faith.  I am afraid to push him and I am not sure what his true feelings about the missionaries coming are, but I felt the spirit tonight.  I know that I haven’t been the most ideal member of the Church, but I do know the Church is true and I do have a testimony.  I have never been a preachy person and I don’t think that I would ever be that type of person.  I know that I need to set an example for my husband and my family.  It is VERY important for me to raise my children in the church and I know that the only way for that to happen is for me to go to church.

The missionaries left a video for us to watch, so we are planning on watching it tomorrow.
