We are home

October 26, 2008 at 2:43 am (family time)

After a long day away.  The boys cut up and cooked their trout and I made Chicken parm. While we were cooking the missionaries stopped by.  They asked if it would be ok to give Jade the child version of the lessons, but I said no.  Sean and I are not ready to get into it with Stephanie.  He will be starting Cub Scouts the beginning of Dec and I am hoping that will open the door for him to ask questions about our church.  Sean said it was ok for him to do the LDS scouts program instread of through the city.  We were talking about the baby’s blessing and Jade asked if he was blessed or baptised and he wasn’t.  So, maybe with time and me setting a good example, we will be able to change that.

While we were at the pumpkin farm, Seans mom asked if I would go to Hawaii with them at the end of Dec, so Jade could fly home with me.  His parents are going for 14 days and Stephanie said that Jade can go for 5 days.  We said that he could not miss any school, so he was going to fly home Sunday before school started, but the family he was going to fly home with canceled and isn’t going.  So, I guess I will be going.  I am excited because I haven’t ever been, but I will miss my anniversary.  Sean will be going to a school in Jan, so he can’t go.

I was changing Vince’s diaper today and I opened the little fold on his legs and he had all the stinky white stuff still hiding.  It was so gross. It smelt like stinky bellybutton.  I did an investigation on his little body and found it hiding in the deep cracks of his arm pits.  GROSS!!!  I can’t wait for his penni to heal so he can take a real bath.

His little pumpkin outfit the Natalya gave him. He is so cute!

Hey Alicia, this is your favorite Aunt Haha Alicia your baby looks just like you did when you were little, he is so very cute.. Alicia this is the very first blog I have every read, how special you are HaHa, Alicia you are a very special person and are very lucky to have a new baby and a husband who loves you enough to trust that you will be a great step mom to Jade. Your blog sounds like you are experiencing some frustrating times.Life does get very over whelming at times, money, kids, jobs, husbands and in your case x-wifes. I feel like maybe because I have experienced some of the things you are going through maybe I can give you some incouragement . When I was younger people I would see maybe in the grocery store would say “just love your kids they grow so fast” at the time I thought that was silly because it seemed like my kids would be with me forever, Alicia, kids really do grow up so so fast… it is really important that you and Sean creat a home that your kids will feel safe, and loved. I really have regrets when Ashley and Nichole were younger, I feel like I was to impatient, had to many rules, had to many expecttions that maybe they couldn’t meet.. I am so glad to have Joey and Emma now that I am older. I feel like I have really learned alot from the first family haha… no really I really love being a mom to them because I just really know that I will not have them very long, I am patient and much more loving physically, there seems to be less stress and less tension when I am in a good mood. I know that that is a lot of responsiblity on our shoulders as moms but it is really true, Moms,do set the MOOD in the home. I wish I could start over knowing all I know, but of course we get one chance, and what we learn does come from expereinces. Alicia I said I wasn’t going to preach to you but I do want you to know that you are not alone. Do you remember the picture of Christ standing at the door with only a door knob on your side, he is standing at that door just waiting for you to open that door, he is there and is willing to share all he has, peace, comfort, guidance , answers to questions that you have in personal life and in the lifes of your families life have ,you thought about not going on this journey alone, Alicia I know that PRAYER can make a big difference, It has in my life. I probly should of sent this as an email, let me know what your e-mail is so we can talk, mine is debbieaune@gmail.com I love you lots and want the best for you, please write back… Debbie
